Fr. Thomas Keating, O.C.S.O.

Fr. Thomas Keating, a Trappist monk and a Catholic priest, was one of the principal architects and teachers of Centering Prayer and the Christian contemplative prayer movement. He was the Abbot of St Joseph’s in Spencer, Massachusetts for 20 years. Fr. Thomas was an internationally renowned theologian and accomplished author. He has traveled the world teaching about contemplative Christian practices and the psychology of the spiritual journey.

Fr. Thomas helped found the Snowmass Interreligious Conference and was a past president of the Temple of Understanding and of the Monastic Interreligious Dialogue.
